Process extraction of dust particles from conveyor belts

Task

A dusty working environment occurred when transporting the diatomite on the conveyor belts. The dusty working environment caused not only a health risk but also a lot of cleaning to prevent dust accumulation.

Solution

Several exhaust points on conveyors, silos as well as conveyors were installed to an existing filter unit. Several conveyors have hoods and exhaust boxes to collect the dust from the highly dust-emitting processes. Due to lack of capacity, the fan was replaced at the same time, so that sufficient extraction is always maintained.


Conclusion:

Due to the much lower dust concentration in the air after installing the system, the working environment is significantly optimised. Furthermore, cleaning activities have been significantly reduced.
